The fortnightly club lotto draw took place on Monday, October 16th at the club grounds. There was no jackpot winner on this occasion. The numbers drawn were 1, 6, 14 and the bonus ball was 23.

Our next club lotto draw is scheduled to take place on Monday, October 30th at 19:30pm in the Clubhouse where the jackpot will be €13,000. Get your draw tickets or renew your yearly tickets online on Clubforce or get your tickets for the next draw from all the usual local outlets. Mid Kerry: O’Sullivan Cup: Semi-Final Fixture (Seniors)
Milltown/Castlemaine received a Walkover against Cromane last weekend in the Quarter-Final so will now face Laune Rangers in this weekend’s Mid Kerry O’Sullivan Cup Semi-Final on Sunday, October 22nd at 12 noon in J P O’Sullivan Park, Killorglin.

Kerry Petroleum Intermediate Club Football Championship: Final
Milltown/Castlemaine will take on Fossa in the 2023 Kerry Petroleum Intermediate Club Football Championship Final.

Date, time and venue have yet to be confirmed for the final. Stay tuned for further updates in the weeks ahead.

Garveys Supervalu County Senior Football Championship: Quarter-Final Result and Semi-Final Fixture 
Congratulations to the Mid Kerry Senior Footballers especially our Milltown/Castlemaine representatives on the panel who advanced to the County Semi-Final last weekend after an impressive 1-19 to 1-07 victory over Na Gaeil in Fitzgerald Stadium, Killarney.

They will now face Dingle in the Semi-Final on Saturday, October 21st at 5:30pm in Austin Stack Park, Tralee. The match is also being broadcast live on RTE 2 Television. We would like to wish the players and management all the very best and would ask our club members to get behind the lads this weekend and show your support.

U7 Boys: End of Season
Well done to the Milltown/Castlemaine U7 boys team who finished their 2023 season on Sunday with a medal presentation.
A special thanks to Senior Star Cillian Burke who took time out before his big match to present the medals.
Thanks to all the coaches for all the help and support and especially to the players on making it an enjoyable year for all.

U8 Girls: End of Season
Congratulations to the Milltown/Castlemaine U8 Girls who finished their 2023 season last week with a medal presentation at the Paddy Burke Memorial Park, Milltown.
A sincere thank you to Emma Costello (Kerry Senior Ladies) for presenting the girls with their medals. We would like to send our very best wishes to Emma for the upcoming All Star awards as she is one of 13 nominees from Kerry.
The 2023 TG4 All Star team will be announced at a gala banquet at The Bonnington Dublin Hotel on Saturday, November 18.
Huge thank you to all our coaches who gave so generously of their time all year.
Thank you also to all the parents who helped out last night and over the course of the season.
Lastly, to a wonderful & dedicated bunch of girls, well done on a fantastic year, keep practicing and we will see you all in 2024!

U9 Boys: Blitz 
Milltown/Castlemaine’s U9 Boys were at Mallow Sports Complex on Saturday taking part in a Munster Go Games Blitz. There were two teams representing our club with encounters taking place against Carrigaline, Mallow and Kilcummin. A really enjoyable outing for the lads who put on a fantastic display of football. Well done to the players and management involved! Keep up the great work.

U12 Girls: End of Season 
Our U12 Girls season has drawn to a close after an impressive & heroic performance last Tuesday evening in Kilcummin in the Group 4C Final, earning a draw in a familiar setting for our group.
A tough battle from the first whistle to the last, the determination and heart our girls showed was a testament to their character and resilience they have shown this year.
From Cahersiveen to Croke Park, Ennis and Fitzgerald Stadium to name a few as a team we have travelled and experienced some wonderful days together since we began our journey in February this year.
A historic year for our club, being the first competitive team to line out in LGFA ranks.
Well done to all our girls for a successful 2023! ⚪️

Mid Kerry Minor Football Championship: Round 3 Result (Round-Robin)
Milltown/Castlemaine 0-7
Keel/Listry 0-7

Venue: Paddy Burke Memorial Park, Milltown

Milltown/Castlemaine’s Minor side backed up their opening two victories in the Mid Kerry Minor Football Championship against Glenbeigh/Glencar/Cromane and Beaufort with a draw at home to Keel/Listry last Saturday in Milltown. The team have now qualified for the Mid Kerry Minor Championship Semi-Final which will take place on Saturday, October 28th at 2:00pm with the opponent and venue to be confirmed following this weekend’s draw.

Milltown/Listry Comhaltas AGM
The local Comhaltas branch AGM will take place in the Old Hall on Thursday, October 19th (tomorrow) at 8:00pm. All are welcome, especially anyone looking to join a vibrant group, make friends and have fun organising our events. No musical experience necessary! See you there!

Milltown Tidy Towns: Volunteers Needed

Join Milltown Tidy Towns – We need your help. Meeting every Thursday at 6.30pm at The Old Milltown Community Hall. This is an opportunity for local businesses, families and anyone with an interest in creating ” a sense of place” in Milltown.  All welcome, no experience required.  Please call Therese on 089-4767279 for further information or log onto Milltown Tidy Towns Facebook page.

Milltown Castlemaine GAA Clothes Recycling Collection:

Our clothing recycling collection is now happening so we urge you to clean out your wardrobes of all unwanted clothes, sheets, blankets, towels, curtains, shoes etc and drop them to the Paddy Burke Memorial Park in Milltown.
This is a wonderful way of doing your bit for the environment and raising much needed funds for our club at the same time.
