Mitchels Faithful To Gather For First Social In Over A Decade

TICKETS are selling fast for what is sure to be a fantastic night of entertainment for the members of a proud local GAA club.

The first John Mitchels GAA Club Social in 13 years will take place on Saturday, October 8 at The Rose Hotel and club members of the past and present are encouraged to get their tickets soon.

Over 200 guests will be treated to a welcome drinks reception, followed by a four course meal with entertainment from The Bansha Boys.

A number of awards will also be conferred on the evening to players from the male and female senior panels in addition to a performance by one of the John Mitchels Under 12 players Áine Ni Dhubhlainn who won a silver medal at this year’s Fleadh Cheoil na hEireann in Mullingar.

As part of the evenings celebrations, the club will pay tribute to the John Mitchels senior and minor players who were part of the 1962 All Ireland winning teams.

A raffle to support the juvenile section of the club will also be held on the evening with some tremendous prizes to be won.

Also on the evening, kindly sponsored by Weardrobe and Celsius Menswear, there will be a ‘Best Dressed Lady’ and ‘Best Dressed Mans Competition’.

John Mitchels are also delighted to welcome one of Kerry’s best known footballers and fashion designers Paul Galvin to the event, where he will launch a specially designed John Mitchels jersey as part of ‘Keohane Athletic Club’ range.
