A RANGE of new services have arrived in Tralee for children with additional needs.

The new Early Years Support Centre based in The Oakview Village Childcare will offer specialized speech and language services, as well as occupational therapy, play therapy, child nutrition, psychotherapy and child psychology.

This service launched on Thursday in association with the Speech Centre and specialised speech and language therapy services will commence on March 24, by appointment only.

The Speech Centre offers nationwide clinics and provides a comfortable and supportive environment for speech and language therapy for children of all ages. They offer speech, language and communication assessment and intervention.

Over the coming weeks they will offer the services of Occupational Therapy, Play Therapy and Child Psychology, Psychotherapy and Child Nutrition. The aim of this new service is to offer families a holistic approach to their child’s learning and development.

Children will be given a modified curriculum to suit individual needs within a highly supportive learning environment and will encourage the children in their care to become capable, imaginative, independent and social, in partnership with families and multi-disciplinary support teams.
