New Tralee Rotary Council Holds Meeting

THE new Tralee Rotary council met on Monday at The Imperial Hotel where Cathaoirleach of Kerry County Council, Cllr Norma Foley, was a special guest.

The new President is Pierce Wall, who owns and manages Ireland Golf Travel which organises Golf Tours to Ireland and Scotland for overseas visitors. Mr Wall served as President Elect for the past year before taking up the position of President.

The new council includes Grace O’Donnell (President Elect), Danny Giles (Treasurer), Sharon Hayes (Secretary) (missing from picture); Council members Dr. George Philip, Michael Slattery and John Moriarty.

Tralee Rotary locally has been involved in many different projects.  A new one launched last year was the ‘Just One Life Programme’  a driver awareness and safety event delivered to transition year student all over the county. They also run Rotaract (junior Rotary) clubs.

They also have raised money for St. Vincent De Paul, Jigsaw, Irish Guide Dogs, St. Mary of the Angels and Many more local charities. They are always looking for new members.
