A FUNDRAISING 80s/90s disco will take place this Saturday night in Ardfert organised by an local woman to help out the hospital where she was treated for cancer over a year ago.

Caroline McAuliffe, a married mother of two young children, was 36 years old when she had a tumour in her tongue removed at the South Infirmary Hospital in Cork (see previous story here).

She’s received the all-clear now, but it was quite an ordeal and to give something back to the hospital, she is hoping people will converge on the Abbey Tavern in the village from 9pm to have fun and be in with a chance of winning some great prizes in the raffle. So far, the sale of raffle tickets has raised €11,000!

Tickets for the raffle are on sale from committee members and on the night.

The draw will take place from 10pm on the night. There will be food served and fancy dress is optional with best dressed prizes also given out on the night. All are welcome.
