Four Men And A Dog will play a concert at the festival in Castleisland this October.
THE Patrick O’Keeffe Traditional Music Festival will this year celebrate its 30th year in existence and to mark this milestone they are beginning the Castleisland festival on Thursday, October 27 until Monday, October 31.
There’s a packed line-up of events over the five days with top artists to perform. Headline concerts include Seamus Begley, The Sliabh Luachra Fiddle Concert, the 30th Anniversary Sliabh Luachra All Star Concert and Four Men And A Dog.
The ‘session trail’ begins on Thursday and highlights of the session trail will include Tom Morrow of Dervish, Tara Breen of The Chieftains, Oisin Mac Diarmada, Cathal Hayden Donal Murphy, Mick O’Brien, Derek Hickey, Oisin Mac Diarmada, Angelina Carberry, Danny O’Mahony, Sorcha Costello, Conor Connolly, Padraic Keane, Bryan O’Leary, Barry Kerr and Aidan Connolly, Caoimhín O’Fearghail and the Gradam Ceoil Young Musician of the Year Diarmuid O’Meachair.

Other events include the annual Singing Concert in Hartnett’s Bar on the Saturday evening. Classes on all the traditional instruments in the Sliabh Luachra style will also take place on the Saturday.
