THE first John Mitchels GAA Club Social in 13 years was a sold out success last night as over 180 of the club faithful gathered to celebrate the past and present, while looking to the future with optimism.
Guests at The Rose Hotel event were treated to a welcome drinks reception, followed by a four course meal before a number of awards were presented to players from the male and female senior panels.
As part of the evening’s celebrations, the club paid tribute to the John Mitchels senior and minor players who were part of the 1962 All Ireland winning teams.
