PHOTOS: Families ‘Cycle The Line’ To Highlight Tralee-Fenit Greenway Issue

FRIENDS of the Tralee to Fenit Greenway were invited to join a public cycle (or walk) on the urban section of the Tralee-Fenit Greenway on Sunday afternoon and there was a great turnout.

A large number of walkers and cyclists of all ages, congregated at the Church of Our Lady and St. Brendan in Upper Rock Street, taking in a diversion over the Casement Avenue bridge, and continuing the official walk along the public pathway (Skinny Mile) to Mounthawk, where refreshments were provided by Mike O’Neill and his organising team.

The event was held to highlight the lack of progress in developing the greenway all the way to Fenit on the old railway line. A number of public representatives also took part and were asked to do all they can to ensure the project is expedited and progress is made sooner rather than later. Scroll down for photos by Adrienne McLoughlin…
