SIXTH class pupils at Holy Family are saying farewell to their primary schooldays this week and a graduation ceremony was held there on Tuesday evening.
The students and their families were in attendance for a blessing by Fr Amos while Principal Maria O’Regan and teacher Tommy Lyons spoke warmly about the graduates before making presentations of certificates and a medals from the Parents Association.
The students sang ‘Counting Stars’ to close the ceremony, before all enjoyed refreshments and had a look at photos adorning the walls of their time at the school.

“They’ve been an amazing group of students. It’s my first year here so I’ve only known them since September, but to watch them mature and how sensitive and caring they are has been a joy,” said Principal O’Regan.
“It’s been a fabulous evening and we’re very proud of them. They’re all more than ready for secondary school,” she added.
The students will now go on to CBS The Green, Presentation, Mercy Mounthawk and Coláiste Gleann Lí schools with a great eight years of education behind them. Scroll down for photos…
