WHAT a game. What an atmosphere!
Tralee Sports Complex was packed to capacity on Thursday afternoon to see Mercy Mounthawk take on CBS The Green in an all-Tralee U19A National Subway Schools Cup Semi-Final.
In a thrilling game, it took overtime to separate the sides and Mercy Mounthawk emerged victorious winning by 66 to 62.

The epic game saw CBS ahead 16 – 12 after the first quarter and they held that lead to halftime going in 35 – 32 up. By the end of the third, CBS held a slender lead by 49 to 47, but there was nothing between them.

The lead changed hands on a few occasions in the fourth, but by the full-time buzzer it was a draw, 57 points each and five minutes of overtime beckoned. Mercy Mounthawk though showed the greater resilience and can look forward to a Cup Final date.
