A NEW chapter in the lives of young children began at Caherleaheen NS and O’Brennan NS last week.

The junior infants were dropped off by emotional parents but the kids were unfazed and happy to meet their new friends.

“It’s been brilliant with no tears, all went really well and we’ve new uniforms this year which went down well with all the pupils,” said Principal of O’Brennan NS, Michelle O’Brien.

The story was the same over in Caherleaheen as the little ones made their way to the school on Friday morning.

They met their new teacher and got used to their surroundings before the real start to the school this week. Scroll down for photos…
