ANOTHER first day at school at Gaelscoil Mhic Easmainn went as smoothly as you’d expect, with two classes of junior infants beginning a new journey.
“Everything went great this morning,” said Principal Cáit Uí Chonchúir. “The parents had visited with the children on two occasions previously to get used to the surroundings, which helped of course,” she added.
There were 54 new pupils and with the school growing at such a rate, it’s a good thing the new extension — with five new classrooms and four resource rooms — is now open to accommodate them as they advance in the next few years. Scroll down for photos…
