ROUNDY’S Bar is used to hosting artistic events and on Saturday the place will be full of handmade items which would make ideal Christmas presents.

A group of local artists are having a pop-up Christmas craft fair at the bar from 1pm to 6pm.

The artists are Rebecca Lyons origami, James Brown photographer, Tralee pottery club , pottery, Mary G Sheehan , artist and painter , Inked hibiscus designs crochet and last, but not least, #minimixologist hot chocolate bar.

“We are a group of local artists who want to showcase our handmade artisan work,” said Rebecca Lyons. “The response so far has been fantastic and huge thanks to Roundys for letting us use this fantastic space.”

“People want to give gifts a little different from the mass produced items available in chain stores and we find customers love meeting the artists and talking about their inspiration and work. So this Christmas buy local, handmade and unique,” added Rebecca.

It’s a great idea and the good news is if you can’t make it his Saturday, the artists will be back with their wares next Saturday (December 22) so you can get that last minute gift.
