A LOCAL postman has decided to get his long hair cut for a worthy cause next week.
Aidan Griffin from Tralee has been growing his hair for the past two years and is hoping people will come along to The Huddle Bar on Friday, February 24 at 9pm to make a donation to the Kerry Cancer Support Group while he is getting the locks chopped off.
“Cancer has affected every family and my own father passed away 32 years ago from it. Kerry Cancer Support Bus is a fantastic service for people travelling to Cork and Limerick for treatment so I decided to do something for them,” he said.
Aidan said he’ll be getting a ‘short back and sides’ while volunteers from the Kerry Cancer Support Group will be present with buckets in the bar for people to donate into.
