IT’S set to be a great weekend of entertainment for the little ones as the ‘Tír na nÓg Children’s Festival’ kicks off off here in town.

A whole host of events running throughout the weekend to keep the children engaged.

‘Arts & Crafts’ days will be held in the Kerry County Museum from now right through until April 10 where parents and children are being invited in to the museum to spend the day making various items which they can then take home with them.

Children are being given free admission on the days with parents to be charged just €5 to enter.

If this doesn’t tickle your fancy, then never fear as Caballs Toymaster is offering a free children’s puppet show in its shop on Bridge Street on Saturday April 4 from 11am-1pm in what promises to be fun for all the family so be sure to check it out!

After the fun of the puppets, if your child is full to the brim with bubbling energy, you can then head on down to the ‘Under 12 Meadowlands Hotel Kids Fancy Dress Fun Run’ that will be taking place in Tralee Town Park from 1pm.

There will be face painters and some of your favourite Disney characters there on the day to ensure a smile on your little ones faces.

The Easter Bunny himself will be making an appearance at the Tralee Bay Wetlands on Sunday April 5 as he looks to party with his friends at the Easter Bunny Disco being held there at 1.30pm. There will be games and fun activities being held on the day too at a cost of just €6 per child.

There are many more activities taking place throughout the weekend so for a full list of things to do, you can check out the Facebook page here.
