Quane’s Cheltenham Night Raises Over €35,000 For Help Rose Bloom

THE proceeds of a fantastically successful fundraiser were presented this week to the Help Rose Bloom campaign.

Skelper Quane’s Cheltenham Preview night was held on March 3 and hundreds converged on the popular Blennerville hostelry to hear tips from the stars of the racing world.

When all was said and done, an incredible €35,980 was raised from the evening and the O’Flaherty family were presented with the cheque by Tom Quane.

Little Rose O’Flaherty from Ballymacelligott, has a rare and serious genetic neuromuscular condition called Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA), Type 1, and funds raised from the event went to the Help Rose Bloom campaign.

In a Facebook post, Tom thanked the businesses and individuals that sponsored the night, donated spot prizes, supported the auction, purchased tickets for the event and attended on the night.

He also thanked the panel members Bryan Cooper, Phillip Enright, Jack Kennedy, Gordon Elliot, Berkie Browne and Leon Blanche and MC Pat Healy.

He also thanked the committee members who put so much time and work into organising the night and also the main sponsor, BoyleSports.
