DINERS are invited to take part in a fun night whilst dining blindfolded in order to raise much-needed funds for the National Council for The Blind Ireland (NCBI)

Cassidy’s Restaurant on Abbey Street is taking part in ‘Dine In The Dark’ for NCBI this November and it’s being promoted by one of Ireland’s top chefs, Neven Maguire.

“I, along with head chef Steve Trew and staff, am delighted to be part of this fun night,” said owner of Cassidy’s Restaurant, Geraldine Cassidy.

“We eat with our eyes mostly, and now is a chance to experience dining through taste and smell. It will also show us what it’s like to cope with visual impairment and sight loss when doing normal tasks,” said Geraldine.

“Diners will be guided to their seats and presented with delicious food which they hopefully will have fun eating and talking about with their fellow diners,” she said.

All monies raised on the night will go to NCBI.

Cassidy’s Restaurant Dine In The Dark event will take place on Monday, November 7 starting at 7pm.  Tickets are €25, and can be purchased at the restaurant. Booking is essential as places are limited. Call 066-7128833.
