SARAH Miles will be welcomed back to Dingle on St. Patrick’s Day, where she will officially open the Dingle International Film Festival with a screening of Ryan’s Daughter.

The English actress who starred in the 1970 David Lean-directed classic, will open an event which welcomes celebrity guests and 170 screenings.

“Sarah opened the very first film festival, so it is more than fitting that she returns to celebrate our 10th birthday with us. ‘Ryan’s Daughter’, set in the wake of the Easter Rising, is the perfect film to celebrate Ireland’s centenary and who better than Sarah to be here with the film” said Director and founder of the festival, Maurice Galway.
