MEMBERS of the Meadowlands Golf Society gathered in the Meadowlands Hotel on Wednesday evening to receive some new sportswear from the hotel.
The Society was formed in 1999 and has 45 members who live locally. They enjoy about six outings in the year from March to December in golf clubs around the county and beyond.
“The Hotel sponsors the prizes, supplies finger food after every outing and they’ve been very good to us over the years,” said Captain of the Society, Eoin Barrett.
“It’s very much a social outlet for all of us and this was especially true during COVID, where it was very important for the lads,” he added.
Sales and Marketing Manager from The Meadowlands Hotel, Heather MacIver, was on hand to present the new tops to the members.
“We are delighted to be sponsoring the Meadowlands Golf Society in 1999 and thrilled to see our golfers sporting fabulous new golf shirts and ¼ zips while we celebrate 25 years in hospitality this year. The Meadowlands Golf Society always create a great atmosphere in Johnny Frank’s throughout the year!” she said.
