Juvenile Academy

U5

Well done to all our U5’s who were at training Sunday morning. Great to see such big numbers turning up and welcome to all our new members.

Great work and participation from all during our drills and games.

A big congratulations to our Star Player of the Week ‘Molly’.

U8 Girls

The rain stayed away for a fun session on the grass Sunday morning. Lots of running games with ball skills using evasion, tackling and lateral movement.

The practice at home is showing and the confidence on the ball is growing particularly in our senior section. We’re working match preparation ahead of upcoming mixed ‘Go Games’ on Monday 9th May & girl’s only games to be scheduled intermittently throughout the summer season.

Very well done to Olivia Lynch today whose skills and confidence are really improving every week. She earned the player of the week trophy for her efforts!

U10 Girls

U10 Girls trained today Sunday morning 1st of May at St. Pats pitch. 12 girls played fun games coached by Kieran, Labhraidh and Nigel.

They worked on their hand passing playing hand pass touchdown to start, worked on their solos & defending in a new drill and finished with a match.  Well done to Ria Hogan who won player of the week.

Practicing all week at home and only her second training session today Ria impressed the coaches and scored an incredible goal from distance looping in over the keeper. Well done Ria and everyone keep up the good work and keep up the practice at home. See you all next week.

U11

We had another great evening of U11 Go Games last Thursday in Blennerville where we hosted Dingle. We were down a few players through holidays and bereavement but the lads who played were fantastic and gave it their all.

Training continued on Sunday morning with loads of small sided fun games. We have a busy schedule next week where we travel to Finuge on Thursday night and to An Ghaeltacht on Monday May 9th to finish off Phase One of the County Go Games. Meeting times for both games to be confirmed on the WhatsApp group later in the week.

U12 Girls

Well done to all the girls for putting in a great training session this morning but an extra special well done to Sarah Greaney for winning player of the week.

We couldn’t but give Sarah footballer of the week as she worked tirelessly throughout the session and had her scoring boots on today kicking numerous scores.

U13 Boys

Not having a game last Sunday proved beneficial as we were able to arrange a training session on Sunday morning. The Sunday session meant that more of our panel were available to train. Well done to Jack and Fionn for getting in from Ballyheigue for the session.

Our Under 13’s are playing in their County League at home Sunday the 8th May against Castlegregory at 6pm.

U17 Central Region

The Central Region sponsored by Kellihers’s Toyota Tralee begins the 2nd of May at 7pm. St Pat’s/Kerins O Rahillys play Annascaul/Lispole/Dingle in Round 1 in Blennerville.

Seniors

St Pats were out against Brosna in their Round 5 of the Credit Union County League last Sunday. Brosna started the half with two points. Brendan Poff replied with two points of his own. Brosna scored yet another point, David O Callaghan scored a point to keep St Pats with Brosna.

Brosna scored two more points, it was up to St Pats to push ahead and get scores before the whistle blew Fergal O Brien and Liam O Sullivan obliged to gives us a point each. The score line stood at half time St Pats 0-05 to Brosna 0-05.

The second half was tough going with a lot of bumps happening. Brosna began the scoring with two points one after another. Luke Mulligan added a point for our side and Kieran Hurley adding his point soon after.

Brosna were the ones who scored from now on with four points. St Pats make sure to mark Brosna and keep on top of them. Everyone for St Pats played their best match and did their best to score to bring it back but unfortunately it wasn’t to be and the score line finished St Pats 0-07 to Brosna 0-11.

St Pats B are playing in their Development League Round 3 against Clounmacon at 2pm in Clounmacon on 8th of May.

Congratulations

To Kevin Boyle who climbed Lobuche Peak on Saturday as part of his 3 Peaks and Khumbu Region Fundraiser.
