ON Thursday, the St Vincent de Paul store on Friary Lane gave thanks to their customers by holding an appreciation day for the people who donate and shop there.
For the day, staff dressed up in Christmas gear and fifth pupils from Holy Family Primary School displayed their caroling abilities with updated versions of festive hits.
“We are very fortunate that we have people of Tralee donating stuff and buying in the shops, so this is a way of giving thanks for that,” said Junior Locke of St Vincent de Paul.
The day was also a chance for Mrs Dempsey’s Holy Family fifth class singers to belt out a few numbers to the public an opportunity they relished.
“This is lovely to do because the pupils are getting to their holidays and they’re really relaxed,” said Holy Family teacher, Claire Dempsey.
“It will encourage their own families to come down and buy things from St Vincent de Paul, which is lovely for the shop,” she said.
