Sustainability In The Hospitality Sector Workshops In Tralee

THE Tralee Food Festival is almost upon us and part of it will concentrate on sustainability in the industry.

The Festival organisers have partnered with Rural Food Skillnet and the Food Safety Company to deliver two workshops on Sustainability in the Hospitality Sector on Friday April 29th.

Geared toward the hospitality, food & drink sectors it will also be of benefit to any business that has an interest in sustainability and the environment.

Sustainability in the hospitality sector is designed for senior personnel to give them a comprehensive overview on the importance of sustainability in the workplace.

The course goes into detail on four of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals which are applicable to the hospitality sector, outlining the social, economic, and environmental benefits of each. The course outlines useful tips and practices that can be implemented in the workplace to help meet each of these four goals.

They will also provide information on what supports are available for businesses that wish to switch to a more sustainable business model.
