Ballymac Man Wins Ford Focus In Credit Union Draw

A BALLYMAC man picked up a new Ford Focus thanks to Tralee Credit Union this morning.

Ned Barnes and his wife Shelia are the latest winners in Tralee Credit Union’s Members Car Draw, which took place last Thursday in the Tralee Office.

Collecting the car today from Stephen Benner of Kerry Motor Works, Ned said; “I am absolutely over the moon. I have been a member of Tralee Credit Union since 1972 and they have served me and my children well over the years. Both my wife and I have been in the car draw since it started and we couldn’t believe our luck when we got the call. We are absolutely delighted.”

Fintan Ryan, CEO of Tralee Credit Union said: “Thanks to our members we are delighted to give 4 members the opportunity to win a car. We currently have 4 car draws a year so you have a great chance of winning. The cost of each draw is €6 per draw and any surplus left over at the end of the year is raffled out to our car draw members in the form of cash prize at our AGM in December.

THE latest winner of the Tralee Credit Union Car Draw has won himself a 15 year upgrade which will see him ditch his Nissan Micra for a brand new car.

“Any Joe Soap can win it if I can win it!” said a ecstatic Maurice O’Regan who was presented with a brand new Nissan Pulsar from Randles Bros Garage in Manor West outside the Credit Union in Tralee on Thursday afternoon.

The kitchen porter at the Johnston Marina, originally from Knocknagoshel, was grinning from ear to ear along with wife Eileen when Fintan Ryan, CEO of Tralee Credit Union, handed over the keys to his new motor.

Maurice who had been doing the draw for just under a year let out a roar of delight when he found out he won the car while at work last Friday.

“I just couldn’t believe it, it was fantastic. I never won anything in my life and to win a car is amazing,” said Maurice who has two sons, James and Kevin, and one daughter, Joanna.

The Credit Union Members Draw, takes place every three months, the cost of the draw is €6 for each member. The draw is open to all members over the age of 18. For more details check out www.traleecu.ie
