TRALEE Art Group is delighted to announce the opening of their upcoming exhibition on Friday October 20 at the Parish Centre, Fenit V92 Y8DW from 6.30pm to 8pm.

“Our World, Our Oyster” celebrates Oyster Fishing in Tralee Bay, Fenit. Many fishermen and women from Fenit and surrounding areas take part in this seasonal oyster fishery, operating generally from October to December. It is closely regulated to ensure future sustainability.

Guided by eminent local artist, Rebekah Wall, over the last year, a body of work has been created by ten artists, providing a social commentary on a not very well known local industry which supports families in the area.

All ages are welcome to this community orientated, social commentary on a long established tradition. There will be refreshments and music by local musicians.
