Tralee Bay Wetlands has been shortlisted in the Green Hospitality Awards.

THE Tralee Bay Wetlands team have reason to celebrate this morning after they received word that they had been shortlisted by the Green Hospitality Awards.

The popular local business and activity centre is shortlisted in the ‘Best Responsible Activity Provider’ category with the winners set to be announced at an awards ceremony in Dublin this coming Thursday, October 15 in the Marker Hotel in Dublin.

The awards will form part of the Green Hospitality Programme (GHP) National Responsible Tourism & Travel Awards which are  are designed to identify and celebrate Travel & Tourism Businesses that are committed to implementing responsible business practices and minimising and reducing their environmental impacts.

“The team at the centre are delighted to have made the shortlist in this category,” read a post on the Wetlands social media pages.

The ‘Best Responsible Activity Provider’ award that the centre is shortlisted for will be awarded to the business that can demonstrate how they have incorporated sustainability, environmental improvements and responsible business practices into their business and embedded these principles into their business with a wide ranging communication with their stakeholders.
