A FORMER Tralee Dynamos FC player has been chosen to take the next step in his sporting and academic career with a top ranking American college soccer team.
Annascaul native, Cian Kennedy, is joining one of the top ranked National Collegiate Athletic Associations (NCAA) Division 1 Men’s Soccer teams, the University of San Diego’s Toreros, as well as taking up an academic course in the university.
He has recently been included on their 2015 Roster (click here), where he will play in the midfield position.

Nineteen-year-old Cian was scouted by a number of different schools/colleges stateside with Emory, Scranton, Bryant, Notre Dame Ohio and Assumption College, but will now play in California, starting in his Freshman year this coming Autumn.
It heralds another success story for the Tralee club after another one of their former players, Rian O’Sullivan recently signed a three year deal with English Championship side Brighton & Hove Albion (see previous story here).
