John Togher of Pieta House expressed his gratitude to Tralee Golf Club and all who contributed to the event.

“We get about 10 to 15% funding from the Government and the rest comes from the community. That’s why it is so important to acknowledge the fantastic amount raised by the Tralee Golf Club event. It keeps the doors open. Last year we saw over 6,500 people use the services of Pieta House and on behalf of them and all at Pieta House I want to say thank you to Tralee Golf Club.”

There was also a raffle with great prizes and the winners were drawn at the presentation of the cheque on Monday.

Padraig Teahan of Listellick won a weekend away for two in the Skellig Hotel, Colm McLoughlin won a golf lesson from David Power, John O’Sullivan from Glencairn won lunch for two in Ballygarry House Hotel, Sean Griffin won lunch for two in Dott’s Bar in the Rose Hotel, while Frank Reen, Marie Hickey and Margaret Murphy and won €25 vouchers for Benners Hotel.
