Fantastic U12 Boys Trip to Croke Park:

The under 12 boys and their family and trainers who traveled to Croke Park on Friday the 6th had a fantastic day at HQ. Check out the excellent photos on our social media at https://www.facebook.com/TraleeParnellsHurlingClub/.

There is one great photo of the screen in Croke Park with a message welcoming all the Tralee Parnells under 12 players by name.

On site, GDA David O’Dea was on hand to make sure the players were settled in to the auspicious surroundings for their 3 matches. Well done all on representing Tralee at the Munster section of the Go Games Blitzes.

These were some of the updates spotted on social media on the day; Fantastic day out for our under 12’s in Croke Park. The lads played some great hurling and were a credit to the club throughout the day.

Thanks to all for organising such a memorable day for the boys. Well done to Ger Donnellan and his mentors for organising a great trip. Thanks for a fabulous day Donncha had a great time and will have the memory always thanks to everybody for organising the trip.

Camogie Spring 7s for players born 2001-03:
Invitations are going out for Tralee Parnells’ Spring 7’s, for players born 2001-03, afternoon of  Saturday, April 21, Caherslee GAA Park, Tralee. Teams will play 7-aside, with a maximum panel of 12. Clubs are welcome to bring more than one panel. Panel sizes are limited to ensure that all players get plenty of game time and to cater for clubs with smaller numbers.

Minors:
A panel of 20 of our minors traveled to the NK league match away to Kilmoyley Tuesday 3rd Apr. This was a big step for our still young club, a minor team playing a competitive competition fixture on their own for the first time as Tralee Parnells.

On the night the young home side had 13 who started including some skillful young under 16s, but were hampered when one player had to go to the line with an injury for a spell of treatment. As the game went on, the ability of the visitors to use their bench began to tell and Parnells ran out comfortable winners in the end, against a gallant Kilmoyley who showed skill and determination throughout. Next fixtures; North Kerry Minor Round 2 Parnells v Ballyduff , Sunday 15th of April 11.30 am. North Kerry Minor Round 3 Lixnaw v Parnells, Sunday 22nd April 11.30 am.
