Two New Appointments At Cara Credit Union

CARA Credit Union is pleased to welcome the appointments of Sarah O’Regan, Head of Credit and Mark Hussey, Chief Operations Officer to their Senior Executive Team.

Sarah O’Regan from Abbeydorney has been appointed Head of Credit.

Having completed a Bachelors of Commerce degree in UCC, Sarah went straight to work with AIB where she has worked for the past 19 years first in Cork and since 2008 she has worked with AIB in Kerry.

Sarah has worked in various credit roles from credit application assessment to more recently as Relationship Manager managing AIB’s personal and commercial portfolios.

Sarah brings her professional credit expertise to now manage and expand Cara Credit Union’s credit underwriting function throughout its three branches in Tralee, Castleisland and Killorglin.

Mark Hussey

Mark Hussey from Tralee has been appointed Chief Operations Officer. Mark has an extensive background in financial services, the credit union movement and in recent years the charity sector with the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul.

More recently, Mark has been CEO of Rathmore & District Credit Union, a credit union with three branches further equipping Mark with the knowledge and expertise to undertake his new role as Chief Operations Officer with Cara Credit Union.

Mark has an MBA from the University of Limerick and is also a qualified Management Accountant.
