Ballybunion Men’s Beach.
A MAN and a woman have drowned at Ballybunion beach this evening.
The man was taken from water at the Men’s Beach shortly after 6pm but efforts to revive him failed. The woman’s body was recovered minutes later. The man is aged in his 5os and the woman in her 60s.
Ballybunion Sea and Cliff Rescue Service and a rescue helicopter were involved in the rescue operation.
