Some of the rubbish collected at the June clean-up in Banna.

IF you’re looking for something to do tonight, then Banna Coastcare could do with a hand.

They are hosting their first evening Beach Clean Up this Thursday at 7pm sharp. There’ll be live music and Salty Souls Cafe will provide free Kids Hot Chocolates for all the little ones taking part on the Clean Up.

Back in June, a clean-up at the beach saw 50 volunteers show up and 40 bags of rubbish removed from the beach, dunes and car-park.

People are asked to meet in the main car-park at 7pm and bring their own durable gloves and litter-picks if you have them.

Volunteers should not take part in the clean-up if they feel unwell or if they have been in contact with somebody who had COVID-19 in the past 2 weeks.

Social distancing will be maintained and the contact information of all volunteers attending the clean-up will be recorded. There will be hand sanitising before and after the clean-up.

Volunteers are asked to ensure gloves and clean-up kit is cleaned and sanitised appropriately, before and after the clean-up. Do not collect any discarded PPE & tissues/wipes.
