Women’s World Cup Trophy To Visit Tralee RFC This Month

Tralee RFC members looking forward to the visit of the Women’s Rugby World Cup 2017.

TRALEE RFC is hosting the Women’s Rugby World Cup trophy on Saturday, April 22 from 10am–1pm and the club is having a fun day to celebrate ladies and girls rugby.

They are inviting everyone to come up and have a selfie with the trophy. Some past and present Tralee ladies players including Siobhan Fleming the current Munster Ladies Captain will be there.

It will be a “Give it a Try” atmosphere as there will be coaches to assist or answer any questions regarding girls rugby at Tralee.

Tralee RFC have begun a U10/12s and 13 girls rugby programme this season. It has been going from strength to strength all season and they have a dedicated bunch of girls attending at the moment.

Tralee RFC has aspirations to field an u15 girls team next season and would like to encourage girls and ladies of all ages and abilities to come up on the day and give it a try.

The club is coordinating it alongside their end of season fun day, so it will be a great opportunity for girls, for everyone, to take part in this special occasion for Ladies Rugby in Ireland.

The WRWC2017 is taking place between the August 9-26 at UCD Dublin, Queens University and Kingspan Stadium Belfast.
