PRESS INFO _ Culture Night in Kerry- 2019 Ambassador is David Geaney

Kerry’s celebrated dancer, David Geaney is Kerry’s 2019 local Culture Night Ambassador. David will be promoting the night in Kerry on Friday September 20th as Culture Night kicks off right across Ireland between the hours of 5.00 and 11.00pm. 
David has recently returned from the Broadway debut of his dance show ‘Velocity’. As he prepares the schedule for taking that show further afield, David is proudly supporting the Culture Night Kerry programme.

David is delighted to help promote the support of culture locally and is calling out to all ages and especially to young people to check out the programme and take part in an arts event.
He is a strong advocate of culture and art in Kerry and Ireland and as a proud Kerry native, David commented:
‘After being previously involved in Culture Night as an artist, I’m delighted to support and represent this year’s event as Culture Night Ambassador.
Also, as a Kerryman, I’m particularly proud to help raise the profile of Kerry arts and culture. Kerry is an amazing place to live, work and visit and I’m thrilled to be able to help encourage people to experience the diverse arts, cultural activities and heritage links throughout the community’

The variety of events on offer ensures there is something that will appeal to everyone, with, tours, talks, screenings & performances that suit all tastes and ages. Culture Night is an easy-going, relaxed way of enjoying arts and culture locally. In Tralee and Killarney, visitors can go from venue to venue, sampling art, music, film, literature and dance, while from Listowel to Kenmare, Castleisland & Dingle, there are multiple events to choose from across all the art forms. 

Mayor of Kerry, Niall Kelliher commented:
“The breadth of events in this year’s Culture Night programme is fantastic and I recommend everyone to take the opportunity to experience something on Culture Night in Kerry. It’s all free and there really is something for everyone and is a great opportunity to experience the wealth of creativity in County Kerry and a chance to celebrate the imagination and inspiration of our hugely talented artists.”
