THE award nominations keep on coming for Michael Fassbender as this morning it was announced he is on the shortlist for the Best Actor gong at the BAFTAs.
The Killarney man is already nominated for a Golden Globe award – which takes place this weekend – and hopes are high that he’ll make the final five when the Oscar nominations are announced later this month.

Nominated for his role as the titular character in ‘Steve Jobs’, he faces stiff competition in the BAFTA category against Bryan Cranston (Trumbo), Eddie Redmayne (The Danish Girl), Matt Damon (The Martian) and Leonardo DiCaprio (The Revenant).
The annual BAFTA ceremony takes place at London’s Royal Opera House on February 14 – two weeks before the Oscars.
