LARGE crowds turned out for the official opening of the Tralee Rowing Club Boathouse by the canal on Saturday.
The boathouse is dedicated to the memory of the club’s good friend John O’Shea, where they unveiled a plaque in his honour.
Minister Jimmy Deenihan officially opened the facility in front of representatives from Rowing Ireland, members of Kerry County Council, Mayor of Tralee Municipal district Tom McEllistrim, Michael Healy Rae T.D., Martin Ferris T.D., Councillor Sam Locke and former and present members and friends of Tralee Rowing Club.
