THE Transition Year students at Tralee CBS took to the stage for their production of the John B Keane classic ‘Sive’ last night in front of a packed hall at the school.
Directed by Ellen McGillycuddy, the students had been preparing for months and thankfully all those rehearsals paid off with a great performance.
The transition years took on the production did all the work themselves from the start, forming committees to include the cast, props and costume, stage design and construction, marketing, event management and directors.

Sive is played by Cian Donnelan, the matchmaker by Michael Carroll, Sive’s aunt and uncle are played by Michael Kirby and Michael Everett with Conor Fitzmaurice playing the doting old man who seeks Sive for a wife.
Two travelling men are played by Sean Quilter and Tom Farrell and Nanna Glavin played by Darragh Leen, with Ruairí O Sullivan playing Sive’s boyfriend Liam Scuab. Scroll down for photos…
