TWO new courses are beginning very soon at Kerry ETB Training Centre but there’s still time to apply.
Interviews take place tomorrow, Thursday, May 24 for IT Support Specialist Traineeship.
This course is for people who have an interest in developing careers in IT support services. It offers a grounding in core hardware, operating systems, networks and cloud computing.
Participants will develop the practical skills to install, configure, upgrade, maintain and troubleshoot these systems. Applicants must have a basic knowledge and experience of using computers, computer applications and the internet.
The learning outcomes are firmly focused on enabling the participants to gain employment as IT support specialists and to progress to third level or professional qualifications such as CISCO’s Certified Network Associate.

Healthcare assistants provide personal, social and emotional care and support to elderly people in private residences, residential nursing homes, hospitals and hospices etc.
The work involves a variety of tasks to enhance the everyday lives of older people. It’s a career for people with a caring and friendly disposition who empathise with older people and relate easily to people in general.
The job requires a certain level of physical stamina, patience in dealing with the frailties of older people and the ability to provide personal care to older people.
