IT was a lovely evening made for cycling on Friday night and where better to start from than Tralee Bay Wetlands.
Kerry Recreation & Sports Partnership, in collaboration with the Chain Gang and Kingdom Cycling Clubs, held the annual ‘Pedal in The Park’ as part of National Bike Week.
It was great to see families of all ages gather before 7pm, before setting off to the Town Park and, for some, to the canal walkway.
Then it was back to base where Ballyseedy @ The Wetlands had the barbecue fired up and fed the hungry cyclists with some delicious food.

Another event — part of National Bike Week — takes place in Tralee on Monday, June 18 from 7:00pm to 8:30pm.
“Any Bike Will Do Cycle” will see participants meet close to O’Donnells, on the Mounthawk/Bracker O’Regan Road. This is a relaxed flat cycle, for those 16+ years, around the town of Tralee in the company of the Chain Gang and Na Gaeil Cycling Clubs.
