HUNDREDS of people packed the Mercy Mounthawk school gym on Thursday night for the annual fashion show and they weren’t disappointed with some great entertainment laid on.
The theme of this year’s show, put on by the Transition Years, was ‘New York, New York’ and they began the show with that very number and a dance performance.
For the 15th year running, students from the school took to the catwalk wearing all of the latest styles from local boutiques designers and milliners including Jasmine, Annburys, Aoife Hannon, Fascinators by Frances and Rita Zachar.

The T.Y.s along with their teachers Ms Stacey O’Leary (fashion show coordinator), Ms Karen O’Carroll, Ms Emma Nolan and Ms Shauna Williams (music and dance teachers) had been working very hard over the last number of weeks to put the show together and it certainly paid off.
Other teaching staff also got involved, with five of them dressing as the ‘Sex And The City’ characters.
The beneficiary charities were Muscular Dystrophy Ireland, Nano Nagle School Listowel and the school’s own T.Y fund. Scroll down for photos (and a video of the opening performance)…
