THE annual Tony O’Donoghue Memorial Walk saw over €3,700 collected this year and in seven years nearly €60,000 has been raised in his memory.
The walk in aid of Kerry Hospice took place yesterday with people invited to register at the Blennerville Windmill carpark.
Andrea, Tony’s daughter, was delighted with the turnout and the amount that was raised. Tony, a great St Pat’s GAA stalwart passed away seven years ago after a battle with cancer.

“A huge thank to all of you who took part and donated yesterday and over the last few days to the walk,” said Andrea.
‘We have raised over €3,700 with donations still coming in. As always you are all so generous and I can not thank you enough. A huge thank you to my good friends Una Lynch and Teresa O Brien aka the ‘2 beans’ for sponsoring the walk.”
Andrea also thanked Con Dennehy who sponsored the medals, Tom from Skelper Quane’s and David O’Leary for the music at the bar that evening and to Kay Griffin, Joan Devane and Maura Sullivan for their help during the day. Scroll down for more…
