Brazil-Bound Tara A Judge At International Skills Competition

KERRY ETB Training Centre’s, Tara O’Halloran, will be in Brazil next week showcasing her beauty therapy expertise as part of the 43rd World Skills Competition held in Sao Paulo.

The competition under way next Monday, August 11 and will run for the entire week up until Sunday.

Tara is a beauty instructor at the ETB training centre in Monavalley.

Along with being an adjudicator at the international event she will be preparing Ireland’s representative in the beauty therapy competition, Andrea Donoghue, from Wexford.

The WorldSkills Competition is held every two years and seeks to promote the exchange of talents between young professionals from various regions of the world.

Originally from Corbally in Limerick, Tara is a resident in Fenit and has been working with Kerry ETB for the passed seven years.

Last June, Tara won International Tutor of the Year Award in a competition involving 37 countries and organised by the major industry and international accreditation bodies BABTAC and CIBTAC.

She will not be the only one flying the Kerry flag out in Brazil. A contingent from the Kerry ETB, Broadcast Production Course, headed up by tutor Brian Nolan and joined by students Alice Lett and Steve Smith, will also be there to film the competition.
