THE weather stayed fine for walkers who went west in aid of Recovery Haven on Saturday.
There were 135 people registered for the annual Jamie Wrenn walk which this year also remembered Mike Deane who passed away in March.
This walk from Tralee to Castlegregory raises much needed funds for Recovery Haven cancer support house. The walk started in 2010 and has grown from strength to strength since, raising a total so far in excess of €70,000 for local cancer charities.
The walk left the Aqua Dome car park at 10am and there was a bus hop on/off facility en route and three refreshment stops in Curraheen, The Junction Bar, Camp and finishing with a barbeque and live music in Maurice Fitzgerald’s pub, Castlegregory.
Well done to all who took part who helped raise many more thousands for a great cause. Scroll down for photos from the start of the walk at the Aquadome…
