A FUNDRAISER in a town centre boutique raised around €370 for Recovery Haven yesterday in a great morning of fashion and fun.

Paco held another one of their great coffee/fashion mornings on Friday and not only did they raise cash for Recovery Haven, but also raised awareness of the upcoming annual Jamie Wrenn/Mike Dean memorial walk later this month which takes place on  Saturday, July 21.

This, incidentally, will be the last memorial walk held by the group where over €96,000 has been raised for charities over the past number of years.

One of the main organisers, Mary Lynch, said she hoped people would make a great effort to take part or sponsor people for the walk since it’s the last one. You can pick up sponsorship cards from Paco in Tralee and Recovery Haven in Tralee.

The fashion/coffee morning was a wonderful success and the fun even spilled out onto The Mall. Two tickets for the Don O’Neill Dinner Night Spectacular in Ballyroe Heights Hotel were also won in a raffle after a winner was picked out by Orla Diffily who will judge Best Dressed at the event next Friday night.

Eileen Whelan of Paco said she was delighted with the money raised and the fun had in the shop and is looking eagerly forward to hitting the road next Saturday morning in the memorial walk.

Paco events have raised funds for great causes like the Inspired group, the local MS branch and helping to buy defibrillators for the town in the past.
