Bon Secours Donates €23,000 To Kerry Parents And Friends Association

THE Kerry Parents and Friends Association has received a donation of €23,000 from the Bon Secours Hospital in Tralee.

Owen McCarthy, Mission Leader at Bon Secours Hospital Tralee, presented Marie Linehan, CEO of Kerry Parents and Friends Association with a cheque from the Hospital’s Community Initiative Programme on Tuesday.

“Through our Community Initiative Programme, Bon Secours Hospital Tralee invests annually in worthwhile projects that respond to the needs of the most vulnerable in our communities and that bring about a social good,” said Owen McCarthy.

“We do this by assisting charities, charitable causes and not-for-profit groups such as Kerry Parents and Friends Association in the outstanding work that they are doing,” .

Marie Linehan, CEO Kerry Parents and Friends Association said; “We really appreciate the support from the Bon Secours and this donation will be used to enhance our Respite Services so that those we support for short breaks, will enjoy their experience, while their families avail of a much needed rest.”

Kerry Parents and Friends Association provides a range of services countywide including Day and Residential Services, a limited Respite Service and a growing Outreach Service. “We see the need to vary the types of services offered to meet all types of unmet need. There is so much to do and the Association is very grateful to the Bon Secours Hospital for assisting in this important work” said Marie.
