A WARNING was issued by Ballymacelligott Community Alert today, after a white van was seen behaving suspiciously in the area last night.
The owner of a house in Ashill was alerted by a neighbour, who, while passing in their car, saw an empty small white van parked at the gateway of the house at around midnight last night.
The neighbour stopped and noted the registration before moving on to their own house and calling the gardaí and the owner of the house. By the time the owner was notified, the van had moved off.

The owner of the house told TraleeToday.ie that he got into his car and searched for the van in the local area.
Later, at around 1.30am, the van returned to the house and slowed down outside the gate, but seeing a light on, moved away quickly.
The make of the vehicle could not be made out, but it was a small white van with a 06-KY-58?? registration plate. Gardaí in Tralee have been notified about the incident.
