Another Status Orange Warning Issued For Thursday Night/Friday Morning

WHILE a Status Orange – Low Temperature/Ice warning is due to come into effect for Kerry this evening until 12 noon on Thursday, another one has just been issued for later that day by Met Éireann.

The cold spell will get worse tonight for the Tralee area (and indeed the county) and this will be sustained for Thursday evening when a Status Orange warning comes into effect at 6pm until 12 noon on Friday.

At least it will be sunny tomorrow, but temperatures won’t rise above 3º celsius during the day. It will get very cold again on Thursday night with lows of -3 degrees in the Tralee area.

Looking further ahead, temperatures will improve a bit on Friday and later that night they won’t fall lower than 0 degrees, while Saturday’s sunshine will warm things up to a relatively balmy 5 degrees.

Sunday is looking like a wet day but with mild temperatures of 12 degrees continuing in a similar vein on Monday.
