Status Orange Wind Warning As Storm Debi Approaches

A STATUS Orange  wind warning has been issued for Kerry and 15 other counties for Monday morning.

Met Eireann says we’ll have stormy conditions from midnight tonightdue to Storm Debi with severe and damaging gusts.

Possible impacts are damage to exposed and vulnerable structures, dangerous travelling conditions, disruption to services and damage to power lines.

The Orange warning is valid from 2am on Monday to 12 noon later that day. Before that, there is a Status Yellow warning in place from midnight for the entire country which will stay in effect until 3pm on Monday.

According to the Met.ie forecast, in the Tralee area, the storm will be at its worst between the hours of 2am and 5am.
