IT’LL be a case of old town rivalries renewed this weekend as Austin Stacks and Kerins O’Rahillys have been drawn to meet again.
And there’s a lot at stake too in the first round of the Garveys Supervalu Kerry Senior Football Championship relegation playoff, as the winner will secure senior championship football for next year.
The loser of the match this weekend will have one final chance to keep their senior status against either Dingle, Killarney Legion, Rathmore or Kilcummin.
Both teams are in this situation after losing their Club Championship Round 1 games on Sunday. Dr Crokes accounted for The Rock, while Strand Road were beaten by Kenmare.
The draw was made tonight and tweeted live by Kerry GAA. The day, time and venue for the match will be decided later , but it is scheduled for this weekend.
