UNLESS you’ve been living in a (bat) cave, you’ll have seen Tadhg Fleming’s video of a bat flying around his kitchen while dad Derry attempts to “catch him”.

The video has gone viral in an extraordinary way and Ballymac native Tadhg has found himself fielding interviews with the likes of Piers Morgan on ITV’s Good Morning Britain show and TV3’s Ireland AM hosts among others.

The website ‘Ladbible’ — which has over 27 million Facebook page likes — carried the video last night an has garnered over 8m views on their Facebook page by 10am on Wednesday.

“It’s been mad the past 24 hours,” Tadhg told us this morning. “Over 10 million views, I’ve been on TV and radio stations from England, Donegal, Wales contacting me. It’s just gone mental! It’s mad when your cousins from America are ringing you saying that their friends are sharing a video of their uncle standing on a chair in football shorts catching a bat,” he said.

It’s done wonders for Tadhg’s media profile too. His own comedy sketch Facebook page had around 10,400 likes yesterday.

Now it has over 20,000, with many new visitors boosting views of his previous videos. Now if only Tadhg could get an interview with that bat…
