Cash And Jewellery Taken In Burglaries In Tralee And Currow

GARDAI in Tralee are investigating a number of burglaries in Tralee and Currow over the past week.

A house in Cahermoneen was broken into between Sunday, August 11 and Thursday, August 15. A sum of money along with earrings, a necklace and a ring were taken.

On Wednesday, August 14, between 9.30am and 1.30pm, a house in the Oakview estate off Brewery Road, was broken into. The house was ransacked and a sum of money taken.

On Thursday, August 15 at around 4am, a business on the Oakpark Road was broken into. Entry was gained via the rear of the building and the perpetrators fled when the alarm was raised.

In the same vicinity at around the same time (between 2am and 4am), the rear window of a vehicle was smashed.

On Friday last, between 3pm and 7pm, cash — including dollars and sterling — and a large amount of jewellery was stolen from a house in Kilsarcon, Currow.
